When you open our Mindnotes catalogue or browse its virtual version, you’ll quickly note that all our products are marked with symbols and numbers, which may at first appear unclear. Let us shed some light on that! Each of them is marked with a special symbol that stands for the solutions employed during production. A code of just 4 digits can contain much more information than you’d think!

Digit one. Type of cover

The first digit after the letters stands for the most important thing, which is the type of the cover. It can be either soft (marked with a 1 or a 2) or hard – marked with a 3.

Digit two. Material

The second figure concerns the type of material used to make the cover. Here, the digits range from 1 to 6. Each of them denotes a different type of cover material:

  1. – paper cover,
  2. – PU, which means synthetic leather such as Verona, Bologna, Torino or Siena,
  3. – this stands for a fabric-bound cover (natural or coloured line
  4. – this is Art Paper,
  5. – a PVC cover like Milano, Matryx Scala or Matryx Santos,
  6. – recycled kraft paper.

Digit three. Corners

The third digit reveals the way a product’s corners are finished. These can be rounded (1) or sharp (0).

Digit four. Spine

The final, fourth digit tells of the product’s spine, which can be hard (straight, 1) or soft (rounded, 0).
